چکیده
The World Health Organization (WHO) defines intracholecystic papillary neoplasms (ICPNs) as gallbladder lesions of intraductal the bile duct (IPNB). We present a case ICPN that was incidentally diagnosed following cholecystectomy for cholecystitis and cholelithiasis. Abdominal ultrasonography computed tomography showed thickening wall cholelithiasis but were not specific tumor. Histopathological examination revealed an papillary-tubular neoplasm associated with moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma. J Curr Surg. 2021;11(2):35-38 doi: https://doi.org/10.14740/jcs408

Intracholecystic papillary-tubular neoplasm of the gallbladder presenting with jaundice.
We herein report a case of intracholecystic papillary-tubular neoplasm (ICPN) of the gallbladder in which jaundice developed. A 58-year-old woman with jaundice was referred to our hospital. Computed tomography revealed a papillary tumor in the body of the gallbladder protruding into the bile duct. A transpapillary biopsy of the bile duct verified adenocarcinoma, and pancreatoduodenectomy with e...

BACKGROUND Intracholecystic papillary-tubular neoplasms are rare precursor lesions of gallbladder cancer. They were proposed as a separate pathologic entity in 2012 by Adsay et al. for the unification of a variety of mass-forming precursor lesions including papillary adenomas, tubulopapillary adenomas, intestinal adenomas, and others. They are considered homologous to intrapapillary mucinous ne...

A 75-year-old male with a history of dyslipidemia, no alcohol abuse, acute pericarditis and two pancreatitis episodes 16 and 3 years ago, consulted due to a new pancreatitis episode (amylase 536 IU/l). Abdominal CT and MRI showed irregular, rosary-like dilatation of the duct of Wirsung in the body and tail (Fig. 1). In the pancreatic body-tail, echoendoscopy revealed a 15-mm duct of Wirsung wit...

We report a case of concomitant pancreatic endocrine neoplasm (PEN) and intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm (IPMN). A 74-year-old man had been followed-up for mixed-type IPMN for 10 years. Recent magnetic resonance images revealed an increase in size of the branch duct IPMN in the pancreas head, while the dilation of the main pancreatic duct showed minimal change. Although contrast-enhanced...

CONTEXT Cystic neoplasms, which are less common forms of exocrine pancreatic neoplasms, consist of mainly intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (IPMN) and mucinous cystic neoplasms. Mucinous cystic neoplasms, unlike IPMN, are not associated with ductal growth, are usually multilocular in nature, and have ovarian type stroma. Mucinous cystadenocarcinoma is a type of mucinous cystic neoplasm m...
